Today the Navajo nation forms the largest part of the Native American population with about 270, 000 members. The current demographics for the Navajo population span over Arizona, New Mexico, and Utah, the Navajo nation covers seventeen million acres. The Navajo Nation works to provide new business opportunities and partnerships with individuals, small business owners, and large commercial/industrial and tourism establishments. The Navajo nation has their own government that is divided up into five agencies. Most modern housing in the Navajo Nation is detached single-family homes and mobile homes. The Navajo nation economy includes traditional endeavors such as sheep and cattle herding, jewelry making, art trading, fiber production, and weaving.
